What am I looking at? (plain-English glossary)
Cases
The one and only volume measure on this page, straight off the export's Cases column (6 bottles = 1 case, so a single bottle is 0.17 of a case).
Selected range
Everything on the page — KPIs, tables, charts, drilldowns — counts only orders dated inside the range you picked above.
Comparison period
Either the same dates a year earlier, or the equally long stretch immediately before your range. Change it in "Compare with".
Order
One line of the report = one account buying one product on one date. Counting orders for an account × product is literally how many times they bought it.
New placement
An account whose first ever order of that brand (anywhere in this export) falls inside the selected range.
Account universe
Every account on the assigned Wine & Spirits book — the denominator for “% of universe”, not just accounts that already buy these brands.
Repeat buyer
An account that bought this brand on 2 or more separate dates inside the range.
Velocity
Cases per month, averaged over the selected range.
Brand line
The four sellable lines behind the placement-gap matrix: Bardstown Origin Series, Bardstown Discovery/Collab, Green River Core, Green River Single Barrel/Specialty.
CORE
The brand's flagship SKU set. An account carries the CORE once it has bought every CORE SKU inside the range. Green River = Bourbon, Full Proof, Rye, Wheated, Honey. Bardstown = Bottled-in-Bond, Bourbon, Double Barrel Rye, High Wheat.
First-order size
Was the account's first order of the range a single bottle, a partial case (2-5 bottles) or a full case (6+)? The only place bottles are counted — it reports no volume.
